  1. Yes, well.. im still a kid so i dont nessesarily Christmas shop alone! lol, but i have started making stuff for my friends and family!

    Merry Early Christmas!!

    Christmas Countdown for you: http://www.emailsanta.com/

  2. YUP, I am about 50% done.

I use my discover card points so I buy a little every month.

I should be done by October.

  3. Yes, i have already started buying pressies for my son as it'll be his first christmas.

I am also thinking of giving some homemade gifts in order to save money.

  4. Yep, finished it.

All done and dusted in the January sales.

    .

  5. No i wont til october lol, but a woman who came into my work last weekend (i work in a gift shop) who bought something for  her daughter as a xmas present.

  6. I'm a member of the R.N.L.I. and their Gift catalogue came out a little while ago, so I put in an order then for cards, etc.

Not many presents to buy - just us two at home now, and the kids have emigrated so Christmas isn't much different from any other day.

  7. Just barely. I always make the in-laws stockings with all kinds of Avon and stuff in it. Add a couple gift certificates to it and its always a hit. They love it. I got the stockings done except for the gift certificates, and a couple other cheap things bought. That's about it. I need to get going.

  8. I will start next month, I do it every year the same time.

  9. Yes, I am recycling all of last years old Christmas cards and sending them out with the original name crossed out in thick red ink and the new name  inserted.

    Bah-humbug

    Scrooge

  10. I know this sounds anal but I have mine done,I used to leave it till the last min and be all stressed out,but my gf started me buying during the year, picking up on or two things hear and there,it really works.

  11. Yep!  I buy things as I see them and keep a list so I don't forget who I've bought for.  We have such a big family I couldn't possibly cope with doing all the shopping close to christmas.

  12. Yes i bought my first christmas present last week for my dog. ha ha ha

The rest i will leave until about october.

    May i be the 1st to wish you a Merry Christmas l o l l o l ha ha ha ha

  13. Yep, i know to some people it might be sad but i start in january during the sales. I don't believe in getting into debt over christmas so i spread the cost throughout the year. I'm also planning to make some home-made presents this year so i'm starting to look now on things i can make. The way i see it if you start early you can afford to do it, take the stress of having to do everything last minutes and gives you time to actually enjoy the holiday season. I've even started to buy Christmas films this month (i'm trying to build up a little collection! Sad i know!!) but i decided to do that last year around end of october and they were all really expensive but because i've started so early i've picked up lots of dvds at around £2 each. Bargain!!

  14. Yes I have. I have four people to shop for, and I'm making them all gift baskets. In the baskets I'm also putting a small hand painted statue, all of which I have and am almost done with (just a few minor touch ups left). Other than that I got a sign for my dad that says "I smile because you're my father. I laugh because it's your own fault!", which ties in with a joke he and I have, and a small ornament for my mom

  15. Not yet.

Right now,im saving up money for christmas stuff.

November is when i make a list and start christmas shopping :)

  16. well i have yet to start, but i plan to start soon. it's just so much easier to do it ahead of time, because your mind is more clear and you don't go in debt upto your eyeballs. it's alot less flustering during this time of year, and the prices are great! and i dont feel the need to push people just to get to that last barbie!

    Man, i love christmas!

  17. No. We stopped buying christmas presents a few years ago. We now have gettogether or b-b-q's when we feel like it. It is cheaper, stressfree and a lot more fun.

  18. I've started planning ages ago, small presents such as DVD's and CD's I write down about this time of year. Then when I comes to late September / Early October - all the way throughout till December I slowly buy everything bit by bit.

I try to start early as I do every year, and planning is always helpful.

Can't wait untill the Holiday season begins, packed shopping centres and overly-large decorations in department stores all add to the spirit.

  19. I start the day after Christmas and shop all year long. I have a VERY BIG  family so this helps a lot.

  20. I have most of it done. I buy in groups of same things.

Five gifts for Daughter, Daughters-in-Law, niece--  candle sets

Gifts for mother in law, sister in law, and sister--  crystal vases

Gifts for Father in Law, Brother in law-- bird feeders

Gifts for grandbaby-- toys (and still need two outfits)

Three gifts for sons-- desk sets and a bobble head toy for desk

I just wait until I see something on sale, and buy for the group.  I bought the girl's gifts in February.

I will get my hubby something right before Christmas.  I don't buy early for him, so I don't have to hide it so long.

We will also give the kids fifty dollars each to go with their small gifts.

  21. Started?  I'm almost finished and I started wrapping today!  I always get things finished early so I can enjoy the holidays without stress.  Plus, sometimes it's good to deliver presents and not worry about mailing them.

  22. Hmm... Well i personally love to shop during the Christmas season, especially Black Friday! I know it sounds crazy but I just really enjoy the holiday traffic, packed malls, and just everything like the Christmas music echoing around, the decorations, and all the hustle and bustle. So usually I'll wait till the last moment to do my shopping. Except when there's something I need to get that will go out of stock as soon as its October or early November. But as far as presents go I'm gonna try to order my mom's ballet tickets soon, because last year I was unable to get them in November. Other then that I've bought my little sister those Hannah Montana (i don't really like her music, don't attack me please!), High School Musical 2, and Camp Rock cds and I have to get her the Jonas Brothers one too but for now that's it! Merry early Christmas!

  23. I make things like bath salts and chutneys for christmas as well as buying little gifts so that way people still get quite a bit from me but it works out cheaper as I haven't had to buy it all.

I've started buying a tub of rock salts every week with the shopping so I have plenty come christmas, and I have also started washing and keeping any jars I use to store the chutneys in. I've also started making zig zag cut fabric squares for the tops of the jars.

  24. It's August!

I'll be doing mine on the 24th of December :)

I'm a last min person when it comes to christmas.

I turn into a bit of a scrooge.

Christmas is debt wrapped up so i tend to hold it off and use my last amount of money to get all i can.

Anyway i'm only 18 and work part time while i study so people cannot expect too much from me :)

  25. Not yet, I normally start around october, I have been thinking about what to get people tho.

  26. No.  I'll probably start the end of Sept.  I'm getting my lists together now!  Can't wait.  I love wrapping up my presents while drinking hot chocolate with marshmellows and eating homemade cookies!!!!

  27. Yep I've started but I'm going to do a big Christmas shop next week. There'll be a lot of sales next week for back2skool stuff (uniform, etc) so I'll try and get a lot of it done then!

  28. Usually I call people insane that start shopping this ahead of Christmas, but I have to admit I purchased my first gift in July and have purchased another one this week.  Now I'm really anxious and want to get more gifts bought early!

    Merry Christmas!!!!

  29. Yes, with others I am far ahead of the Christmas season. Little things only--for the most part things for my nieces and nephews. Later when I find other things at discount, I will keep filling in. Then finally in the mad run up to Christmas if I have a bit more to spend, then everyone will have more from me, all at a pittance of regular price.

  30. I haven't started yet, but I will in September.

    Happy Holidays!!!

  31. I buy gifts all year long - whenever I see something I know a certain person will really like, or I see a great toy on sale, etc.  Then when a person's bday comes around I sort through the things I got for them and give some for bday and save others for Christmas.  Of course I buy other items to go with the stuff I already have, but it keeps me from having to spend so much all at once.  I have 5 grandchildren living with me.  Four have already had their bdays this year so everything I have for them so far will be for Christmas.  Once Christmas is over I'll start filling up my closet with gifts again!
