Have you stayed at the Costasur in Cienfuegos Cuba?

What's it like. Any good?

I haven't been at the Costasur in Cienfuegos, but I have been to a Cubanacan hotel chain. They're okay but you have to be sure to book at a 4* or 5* to ensure good quality.

Costasur is a 2*-3*...and you don't want to book anything less than 4* in Cuba. This resort does not as have much variety as other places and is limited.

Club Ancon is about the same rating (at present) but has more to offer than Costasur.

You might enjoy more Brisas Trinidad del Mar. Its amenities will most likely be more suitable and you can be sure of better quality. This resort is more like a 4* (at least). I would recommend this resort.

So out of these resorts, I don't recommend Costasur. You may not have the best experience there all around.

It's about a two hour drive to your resort from the airport.  I stayed at Club Ancon on the same beach, which is one of the nicest I've ever seen in Cuba.  If you are a beach person you'll feel like you've died and gone to heaven, it goes on for kilometres and is perfect for adults and children alike.  If someone approaches you and offers a lobster dinner in their home, be sure to take them up on it, they are superb.  You can check reviews on tripadvisor.com and the other links below for Cienfuegos and  Trinidad a wonderful colonial town with so much history.  Besure to go in, it's just miinutes away.  even if you don't take a guided tour there  is a mini bus going back and forth all the time, it's a great place just to wander around taking in the street  scene.  Enjoy yourself.
