Question:

Have you taken your toddler to the dentist?

I can't imagine my son sitting through a dentist exam. I heard of some pediatric dentist using laughing gas so the toddlers behave. Is that wrong in your opinion? Are there chemicals in laughing gas? I feel hesitant to ask the dentist..

Thanks

  1. nope

  2. Pediatric dentists are really good with young kids. You're suppose to take them according to my insurance starting at 1 year and then every 6 months thereafter for cleaning and check-up. It's not scary for them and they dont get gassed I promise!! They just check their teeth and then brush them with flavored toothpaste and give them stickers, toys, sugar free lollipops and stuff so they LIKE going. You really should take your child for a check-up!! :o)

  3. I took my 3yr old for a filling and he sat through it, some people think he is ADD but he is a normal boy. I did NOT let the dentist use any meds on him. Laughing gas is nitrous oxide and yes it is a chemical compound. It won't kill him but I would never do that to my child. Yes it is wrong in my opinion but I would never put chemicals in my child's body not even in food. If it is not organic we don't put it in our bodies.

  4. you gotta get him used to it. It's a fact of life, you have to go to the dentist or you let yoru teeth rot. He should learn now and get used to it. It's better now cuase if you dont, it's possible he could develop a fear when he's older and more aware.
