Have you taken zoloft?

for anxiety related reasons if you do or did

were you satisfied with the effects?

Lately I've been having anxiety issues and have been thinking about going back on zoloft which I got off about a year ago because I just didn't like how it made me feel for some reason that I can't quite remember

I think it effected my mind in a negative way

which is why I've been reluctant to go back on it but it's either that or prozac which I'm very hesitant in taking

what should I do

my anxiety is causing me to have pvcs (or skipped heartbeats on occasion usually when standing up or when I get excited about something)

I have a bad case of brain fog too which I think is caused by the anxiety I think

what should I do

thx in advance!

  1. I took Zoloft for anxiety and minor depression during college.  It made me extremely tired. I would have to go back to my car between classes and sleep. Plus, I wasn't interested in my boyfriend at all, while on it. Those 2 are the only reasons why I remember not liking Zoloft. I switched to Wellbutrin XR and that helped some. Plus, I wasn't tired all the time while on it.  Good Luck with whichever you choose.

  2. I have really bad anxiety. To the point where I had irritable bowels and vomiting when the anxiety triggered. I take Zoloft every morning and Ativan as needed for an attack. But no more than two pills per day. I take a half of a pill in the am if I have an attack because it makes me a little drozy when I drive. I feel alot beter now that I am on the meds.

  3. If you don't want to try Zoloft you can try other antidepressants such as Paxil, Lexapro, Cymbalta, etc. Zoloft isn't the only SSRI that can help with anxiety. Prozac, despite people being weary about it, isn't that bad of an SSRI. It has the least amount of withdrawal symptoms associated with it (I don't know if that was a problem for you, though).

I took Celexa for a while for anxiety related issues. It helped a lot and didn't seem to have a lot of side-effects. I think the new one is Lexapro, though. Talk to your doctor and tell him/her you didn't like the side-effects of Zoloft and that you would be open to trying a different SSRI if that is the case.

  4. You can be sensitive to zoloft if you have side-effects happened. But there are many other anti-anxiety drugs, see here http://bisina.info/order_anti_depressant...

  5. My boyfriend took it and it gave him incredibly irregular performance in the bedroom. Basically, he could get hard, then soft, then hard, and he just couldn't come. No matter how hard we tried.

  6. I did.  Once.  It magnified my symptoms near to the point of becoming suicidal.

Don't touch it!  For the love of God.
