Have you taught at Sylvan?

Question

I am a middle school teacher who is going to need some money once school is out next month. Is Sylvan a good place to work?

Don't kid yourself, it's tough.  Two summers ago, they paid me 10 dollars an hour.  The one I worked for didn't like it's teachers to work more than 3-4 hours at a stretch.  In order to get enough hours to make it worthwhile, I had to work split shift.  I always had 3-4 students at my table, and by the end of any shift, I was a blithering idiot.

i have. if you are just looking to make a few extra bucks (like i was) its fine but if youre looking for an outstanding teaching experience, look elsewhere.

No.  I worked there for one summer.

You'd make more money sub teaching and/or flipping burgers at Carl's Jr.
