You don't have to lift a heavy water bottle to put it on a cooler, and by just by pressing you can produce 8 oz. in less than five seconds.

Isn't it time to wean ourselves off the bottle?

  1. I don't know why people have such a hard time getting water out of the sink, personally.  Our country has some of the cleanest drinking water in the world, and most bottled water either comes from urban municipal water supplies or from natural springs or wells.  Most of those water sources empty into sinks just as effectively.

  2. I don't have one myself, but they used one at a job I had a few years ago.  I liked it.  It was easier for an office full of women to use as it did not have to be put on the top of a cooler and it also seemed more sanitary.  Did you ever look inside a cooler that has been around for a while,  it's dirty.  The hand pump can be cleaned out much more easily

  4. Actually the easiest cheapest and best way to get clean water from a semi-polluted environment is to install a water filter. You are not having to buy bottle water, carry around heavy jugs of filtered water from the store, or have it shipped to you at expense to you and the environment.

Lowe's has a nice model made in America for under 300 dollars which will more than pay for itself in time. If you want bottled water simply get some nicer portable bottled and refill them as needed.

I have actually tested my water before and after and it was nearly three times more pure after filtration than before. Watch out for bottled waters as they not only leech plastics which as cancer causing but also are often no better than tap  water for purity.

They did a taste test will over forty waters and tap water was in the top three. So not only is it more wasteful to get bottled water it often isn't any healthier. Just get a filter and tester and find out for yourself.

Thanks for bringing this issue more attention.

  5. This last Sunday I used a KATADYN  Hiker  Microfilter to fill a 5gal. water bladder from a cave stream to use at camp. It is a pump type. It worked great! We used the water from the bladder  in Coffee, Oatmeal, portable water, Cleaning And putting our fire out. The Micro filter cleanse the water of 99.99% Giardia and Cryptosporidium. It would work well around the house as well.
