  1. Absolutely; I purchased a set of Ping irons a few years ago, and found out I was anything but "standard" in terms of height/loft/upright or flat.

My handicap dropped significantly; prior to getting fitted I was a 13-17, now I'm low single digits.

  2. yes my clubs have been customly made for me and i think it is much better because it reasures me that if i hit a bad shot it must be me as the club are perfecrt for me

  3. The answer is yes and yes.  I was custom fit for the first time in 1996 and will say that I was skeptical.  However, the Club Pro insisted that if I get custom fit clubs, that my game would improve to a single digit handicap.  I had a 12 at the time.

The Pro was right.  I reduced my handicap to it's current +2 in the last 12 years.  I am now on my second set of custom fit clubs and I cannot say enough good things about them.

The greatest benefit is that the clubs now fit my individual profile.  They are the correct lie and loft.  The size of the grips are fit specifically to the size of my hands and the shaft os each club is the perfect length for me.

I highly recommend custom fitting and the clubs are no more expensive than if you buy them off the rack in a golf store.
