Have you worked as a cashier and experience customers that don't HAND it to u?

i noticed some customers will hand money or whatever and try to avoid hand to hand contact.......

is it bec. im a guy????

i think with girls they don't try to avoid.......

always p1sses me off! Been a DQ manager for a couple of years...Not fun...You get the worst of the worst

If you work with the public you meet every kind of person.

Do not take it personal, that idiot customer is always an idiot customer no matter who is waiting on them

I think it is rude. It is just a polite gesture that doesn't take any effort to do. I know it shouldn't be such a big deal but I personally hate it when my customers just set or toss their money down on the counter. I have also had a few that will just have this look on their face like they don't even want you to serve them but hey then they should just stay home then is what I think. How would they like it if we handed their change back to them and acted like we didn't want to touch their hands?!

That does happen to me sometimes. Sometimes the exact opposite is true though also, like if I'm holding a cup at the very top I expect the people to grab the bottom, not like try to hold my hand.

With money, I'd much rather them like place it in my hand than put it down on the counter because that seems really rude to me.

Im a girl and some people did me like that too but i think that a lot of people just have a thing about being touched... i thought it was because i was black for a long time though...

No i have worked as a cashier for three years and i have had alot of men (not very many woman at all) put the money on the table and expect me to pick it up. Excuse me sir im not a fukcing stripper my hand is out so hand me the fukcin money dont throw it on the table thank you.
