Have you worked at Massage Envy?

A local Massage Envy on the west coast of Florida is hiring. I'm new to the area and I'm looking for employment. If you've worked for Massage Envy, could you tell me how the therapists are paid and what is was like working there for you? I would rather stay away from such a franchise, but being unemployed I really need to start somewhere.

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

Massage Envy is a great starting place.  If you want experience most people I know that are therpists started there.  Of course they don't pay as much as Casinos/Spas in Las Vegas however you do get more clients because of the cost of the massage.  I noticed (with a dedicated Owner like Marissa Hawkins/Henderson NV owner) you get booked almost solid.  Once you get people coming on a regular basis (like they do) then you have an established clientelle that makes it worth pay cut.  If your good they will return they are paying every month to come in there, they WILL be in or they may loose their massages after a certain amount of time.  I don't work there now but it was a good place to start no doubt!! Just ask the therapists that work there now, it wasn't a big deal when people would just down and talk to the therapists to get their views on their workplace.
