I have extensive experience in niteclub security. I dont want to work somewhere particularly dangerous. I want good wages but dont care about long hours.

  1. I have not worked in security but I have been a barman in Spain. Generally speaking it is not dangerous. Sometimes there will be a fight but it is usually the security that beats someone up. Depends on the city and the kind of club. Late nigh discos are usually trickier, though most of the times you will have to deal with groups of skinheads, very young but go out in groups. If you have experience and are used to deal with this kind of crowd you shouldn't have many problems. In Spain there is less and less people who want to do these jobs, so lots of bars are hiring guys from Russia and Eastern Europe with a military background. They eat the skins alive.

    The money is not bad for Spanish standards. You can expect to make maybe 100-200 euros a night depending on the club.

    Good luck!

    Avoid afterhours and try to get in a posh club where people with money go.
