  1. good

  2. Very good.

  3. I am 60. When I was a lad we had respect for the police. In those days they were smartly dressed, they could walk, they were seen and were in touch with the people.  Today they are scruffy, don't walk anywhere, always in cars and in pairs. They have lost the respect of the public and like this country going to the dogs.  They come across as a load of shabby, members of a gang who job it is to show how ignorant they can be.

The current methods and attitude of our police force needs reviewing to try and get back some respect.

  4. well bad in many ways, first racism, but this was some time back perhaps they are different now, my black friends singled out and called very nasty names, and secondly getting burgled when they sent around a policeman so young and green that he looked like he has just got out of junior school. and the senior policeman who turned up the following day wasn't exactly Mr Happy either.

But to counterbalance that i have had to recourse to go to them when i was mugged and they were very helpful, it takes all sorts i suppose.

  5. terrible,i ended up making a complaint and i started getting late night visits to my house and threatened,my probation officer made a complaint and he was warned to keep out of it eventually i had to move they were following me in their car with sirens on when i stopped they laughed stuck their fingers up and drove off this kept happening i had to leave, ive been beaten up,they blew charges up out of all proportion, lied to me and about me,they had terrible bullying attitudes and when i answered them back they put me down as anti police and violent they like to do this because when i get stopped they have an excuse to use exessive force or even shoot to kill,i think they are the bad guys

  6. Excellent - I cannot fault them at all, but I'm speaking as a victim.  No  doubt, offenders will answer differently.

  7. bad

  8. both, they mean well i guess, but theres a lot of things they cant seem to be able to do, like catch the burglar that broke into your home, sometimes i think its just a formality to go through paperwork for no real reason just that insurers want you too. its not their fault and im not blaming them but everythings so bureaucratic that sometimes its just like they are going through official motions for no reason. they mean well though and they have been kind to me. but sometimes its just like they tick the boxes and cant get anywhere...

  9. Mostly good.  In general, I think police officers are the best people in our society.

It saddens me that they sometimes have to enforce bad and unconstitutional laws enacted by some of our garbage legislators (i.e., Frank Lautenberg is one example).

  10. Good!

  11. Hmm

    depends which times

    all where very frighting

    because i was young

and it was my fathers fault

    or my first offence

    they where actually at my

house today wasn't for me tho

    step siblings mother called um

so it depends all under bad situations

but with some good out comes

i hate being in the back of cop cars tho

    brings back bad memories *shudder*

  12. Good.

  13. Mostly Good.

They only time I ever was in trouble it was my fault and I knew it.

One I met though was a complete jerk and I was innocent of any wrong doing.

  14. Most of them are good but you always get some bad apple in the barrel.

  15. English policemen/women have a bad attitude towards the public. I was brought up to respect the police (RUC) and found in NI they were always polite and curtious even under provocation.  I find English policemen and especially policewomen have an attitude problem.  They should be taught they will catch more flies with honey, than with vinegar! ;-)

  16. In my experience they have been ineffectual, quite frankly, but perhaps that's because I've only ever gone to them for help.

  17. bad bad bad

  18. Police are OK. The problem is these so called 'security' officers

  19. Well at the front of a Climate Change march in London, I was scared by the gunman/police presence at the American Embassy and we started to bottle neck at the front because they stopped us, but on gaining eye contact with a policeman and talking calmly to him, he allowed mothers with pushchairs to cross the barrier.  He was a good one and blessings to him and his.

  20. well lucky breaks, i was speedin once in a suburb, when a texas state trooper was holding on a stop sign, i was going easily 65 on a 30, and i zoomed in front of the guy and he didnt pull me over

  21. In general very good but I have come across a couple of bully types. One ask me and my 3 friends to move along as he considered we were obstructing a footpath. We didn't argue but one of the 2 policemen stood on my foot so that I could not move and then said he was arresting me for not doing as he ordered. He still had is foot hard on mine and shoved me and I fell almost breaking my ankle. He then said that he was arresting me for assaulting a Police officer. I then got annoyed and said that he should do so and then I could tell the court, with witnesses, exactly what happened. He then backed off and walked away. I made the complaint direct to the county's chief constable and that policeman was sacked. That was 50 years ago but I had a similar incident more recently after being stopped and breatherlised ( I had not had a drink for weeks). He was not sacked but lost 1 year seniority and a loss of pay. He apparently left the force a year later due to other complaints.

  22. Bad when i was younger and good more recently

  23. Poor. example, I reported a siren, from a flat, that had been used as sheltered housing, to the police station. You could hear the siren from inside the station. They said it might be a car alarm-NO, totally different sound. When I strongly suggested the come and check, I was threatened with arrest-because the didn't like my attitude!

  24. Mainly very good, but I have come across a couple of rotten apples even as a victim

  25. Largely bad, though I must say they were polite.

  26. Mixed - there are good and bad in every organization, as well as the incompetent and lazy and hard working and competent. I have to say that the majority of officers whom I have dealt with have been good - there are not many who are bad. All are human and as prone to mistakes as the rest of us though.
