  1. You'll definitely want to wait until afterwards, since you've got to let your piercing heal before you remove the jewelry. And yes, you have to remove ALL your jewelry/piercings (I just had surgery in June.) Might as well just wait until AFTER your surgery to get your piercing! :)

  2. Since you know you're going in for surgery, wait until after that to get any piercings. No piercing will be healed enough in a couple of months that you can leave the jewelry out, and industrials take longer than average to heal. You don't want to be fooling around with it at that early stage to try and put retainers in.

If you have other piercings that are healed, you can get plastic retainers for them. Replace the regular jewelry ASAP after surgery, acrylic isn't meant for long term wear.

  3. yea you will have to take it out .. i suggest not getting it periced til the sugery is done cause it will just close anyways if u take it out

  4. yeah youll need to take it out. just wait til after the surgury. or ask the doctor if you can because i had my belly button pierced and the doctor told me no jewelry but then the other one i asked if my belly ring was ok and he said yeah cuz it wont be in the shot or near where hes working. (i was getting xrays on my neck and shoulder)

if not just wait til youre done with the surgury cuz youll have to take itout and itll close up or get infected...one of the 2.
