My wife and I have not got our tax rebate check yet. According to the IRS website, it should have went out on June 6th, because that's where my SS# falls. However, I don't know if they would have used my wife's, which would push it back to July...but we used direct deposit to pay our taxes so we should have gotten something in May...we made just under 80,000 dollars combined last year, no dependants.... what's going on?

  1. It seems you are following all the correct knowledgeable  procedures. Thus it appears you may have to contact IRS directly.

  2. Judy is normally correct, but the stimulus payments for returns processed after 4/15 could be sent according to the schedule. If the scheduled date has passed, it's sent out about a week after it's been processed. If it hasn't passed, it will be sent according to the schedule. The problem is that there isn't any way to tell if it's been processed yet without calling the IRS.

If you do call, the direct line is 1-800-829-0582, extension 726.

  3. You will get your rebate check when you get it.  Don't count on money that is not in your account.  Be patient.

  4. just be patient. you will receive your check. usually, it will arrive a week after you mailing schedule. just wait for it ok

  5. the first lot only those whose return was processed by April 15, 2008 are getting the rebate.

Go to www.irs.gov. Click Where is my Refund? Then click Status of my Stimulus Rebate. or  #01-866-234-2942

For information on stimulus tax rebate read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/04/list...

  6. If you efiled very close to 4/15 or filed by mail toward the end of March or in April, your return might not have been processed by the 4/15 deadline for you to get your check in this first round.  If that's what happened, you'll get it AFTER the first round of checks finishes in mid-July.

  7. if you'll filed an joint return the irs goes by the last 2 digits of the 1st person listed on the return, since you had to pay your rebate will not go by the original schedule,it won't be processed until after all other checks has been sent after july 11th,paying taxes by direct debit will make you get a check instead of direct deposit says the irs.

you must not just rely on the schedule on the irs website, you must mostly rely on the where's my stimulus payment tool on the site to see if your payment has been processed and mailed yet, enter the 1st ss# listed on the return, filing status, and #of exemptions, which would be 2 for you and spouse and if it says no info, then it hasn't been processed or mailed yet.

    SORRY!
