Haven't had a period in 7 months?

I got my first period in January '08 when I was 14. Now I'm 15 and it's been 7 months since I got my period. I don't even get any discharge, either. What's the matter with me? Oh and I'm not pregnant, I'm still a virgin.

  1. Honestly you would want to see a doctor. It could indicate that there is some thing wrong with your, how you say girlie parts internally. A medical professional would be your best bet.

  2. Have you gained or lost a lot of weight since your period started?  That can cause it to stop.  Anyway, you should definitely go to your doctor about this.  My sister had the same problem because she wasn't producing enough hormone, and now she's infertile.

  3. Your best bet is to go see a doctor but i bet it's nothing much to worry about as the first few years of your period are very strange indeed (anything could happen!) I hope you feel better soon x

  4. This does happen sometimes, but you should see a doctor just to make sure everything is ok.

  5. It is not unusual for your first period to come months before you become regular. Don't worry about it... and don't go to your doctor unless you want them to put you on the pill and force you into regularity...

  6. that has happend 2 me before and when i seen the doc,,he said to consider myself lucky, that his wife would envy me. But thats me, like I seen a doc,,,so should you. but I wouldnt worry about it, if your not pregnut.

  7. Don't worry.  I am 27 and have been irregular my entire life.  You should talk to your mom or grandma though.  Our bodies are confusing and its good to start to understand them so that we don't worry.

  8. Some girl's when they start their periods go through a time of not getting it. It's just your body getting ready for the full cycle of it all. When i was your age and got mine I did the same thing. Mine was almost a year apart from the first one. So don't freak out your body will let you know when it is ready for you to get it on a regular basis.

    Good luck

  9. You know, Mary was a virgin too.  Just saying...

But maybe you should see an OBGYN.  In fact, definitely see one.

  10. if you have only just started your periods, then they are not regular yet and they have not settled down yet. So you will have your period soon but because your body is new to periods, you wont know when your period will start. your perfectly normal. I had the same problem, And now you dont really want a period. lol

  11. Are you sure it was your period. I mean it seems youve bleed once and then thats it.

  12. If you were pregnant and haven't had a period in 7 months, then you'd know you were pregnant by now, hun. Haha.

But anyway, if you are taking birth control or something like that, it can mess with your period. It's also possible that you just aren't getting them regularly yet.

You are young, it's okay. Trust me, you don't want them anyway. If you are particularly worried about it, see your gynecologist.

  13. That's perfectly ok. When I was 11 I started my period, then I stopped for about 5 months. This has a name, though I can't remember what it is. In fact, until you're about 18, your period will probably have an irregular schedule. I'm 16 and mine is somewhat regular, and I am a virgin too, but I still skip a month sometimes or start 2 weeks early. So you should be fine, but make sure that your regular doctor knows that you started (they like to keep track of that information).

  14. I'm sure everything is fine. When you first start getting periods they are never on a schedule. They come and go as they please. Eventually everything will start to come at the right time every month.... which sucks.... so be glad you aren't having them regularly yet. 40 years of monthly inconveniences are not something to be happy about.

  15. Tell your parents. Your mom can call your doctor. I'm so proud of you for keeping your virginity. I have donea few bad things, and I regret them, but I'm saving the rest for marriage. Keeo it hon, you'll be glad you did.
