Havent been to Dollywood recently, is it worth the drive from KY?

Any good vacation deals, etc? I took my older kids years ago, thinkin about takin my younger ones..gas is just so high! argh

Yes, the drive is worth it! It's a great family park that you guys hopefully will enjoy.

I have been told from inside that Dollywood does not give discounts unless it is a combo deal w/ Dixie Stampede. FYI:  that place is way too high to consider it a deal either!

There is an option that my brother uses when he visits;  you ge a "splash and play" pass that allows you to visit bothe dollywood and splash country.  You get 3 visits to use how you like and can be spread out over 7 days if you like.  If you are planning on being in town for a few days it is your best bet.  I think they are around $80, but if you take into consideration the price you pay for 1 day, it is worth it.

The parks themselves are definitely worth it.

Dollywood has a lot of rides and they are enjoyable and up to date.  They may not be on the same scale with high thrill rides at some other parks, but they are great.

Splash Country is great for everyone and they have the park built in a way that traffic flows without being overcrowded.
