Having SHARP pains in back, at 22 wks pregnant?

OK I'm 22 wks pregnant and working basicly all of the time. My manager, even tho she knows I'm 5 1/2 months preg, is working the c**p out of me, and I'm stubborn as well, so I'll do hard work, even tho I should probably be easing up now.

Anyways, my back is killing me everyday when I get off of work, and tonight I can't find any ease or comfort...It is right in the middle of my spine and I am just wondering if I should go to the doctor in the morning? I mean, on a scale of 1 to 10, I'm at a TWELVE now! It's like a sharp sharp sharp pain right in the middle and now it is moving all the way down into my butt region, and it is making it to where I almost collapse when I walk...

PLEASE ADVISE! I need help! Would you go to the doctor if it were you?

  1. YES, if it really hurts that bad and you can't take it go for your babies sake, I didn't and after I had my son I almost died because of a bad galbladder, and my pain was in the middle of my back, and it really really hurt.

take care and I hope everything is ok.

  2. I did go to the doctor when I was 23 wks pg because of the SAME reason. My boss is still working me like a dog and has already said shes firing me when my baby is born. I would def go to the doctor if anything for a note that says cut back. Youre still early on in your pregnancy and the stress from over doing it is not going to help your back pain.

I started doing prenatal yoga, I got one of those prenatal yoga cds and it works wonders on your sore back. I had back pain so bad one day I went to the er and all they did was give me tylenol and a mini ultrasound which is something you might want to do tonight if its hurting you that bad. He/she is probably laying on a nerve, and that gets so painful itll have you in tears which it sounds like you are.

Im sorry honey that its being a literal pain it will get better

  3. I had this with all 3 of my pregnancies. For me, it was my sciatic nerve. Ask your doctor about it. I had a hard time walking, sleeping, even sitting. And it always started around 20-24 weeks. Good luck!

  4. i i was you i would go to the doc first thing back pain like that is crazy best o luck

  5. You have ligaments attaching your uterus to your spine in the locations that you've described... as your baby grows, the ligaments pull on your spine and can cause some back pain and pressure.  Some people have more back pain than others... but it sounds like you may have a herniated disc or a pinched nerve.  You shouldn't be in that much pain.  If you are feeling your belly get hard in the front when you also feel the pain in your back... I would call your OBGYN asap... you may be in preterm labor.  Either way... definatly get it checked out... for now stay off of your feet and rest.

  6. yes you should call your doc. an you need to not be on your feet as much as you are . is your boss that rude of a person to not have respect for your condition. it is normal to have back stress but not as much as you are having
