  1. The 750 watt amp is being over drawn by the 1000w sub on one side. The impedance imbalance between the two different subs is causing the bi-amp output to shut down to protect the amp. By a "shortage" I believe you mean a short circuit. Not so, the amp would fry. It sees two different output levels and the imbalance shuts it down so it doesn't  melt down. Oddly, 2 1000 watt subs would not do this nor would 2 500's because the draw is equal. Output line imbalance causes nothing but problems in high tech, high out gear.

  2. First, how exactly is your subs wired, Parallel or Series? In a series, the total resistance in the subs would be add together, and in Parallel, the resistance would be half. There is not a short, but an overcurrent....there is too much current in one leg of the circuit. Think of it like this, you have a 30Watt light bulb and a 60 watt light bulb, which one is going to be brighter......the 60W. The 60@ bulb with a 120V circuit would have 240 ohms of resistance. The 30W bulb would have 480 Ohms of resistance. Although the 60W would yield .5 Amps, the 30W would have .25 Amps. The problem is that one leg is having too much current and the amp is shutting down. You either need to add another 500W sub in series to a parallel 1000W OR drop one sub.
