Okay so im a little confused on what I actually want to do with my life. I just finished High School and I am attending University In September, I was originally thinking I wanted to be a radiologist... like taking ultrasounds and what not, but now im kinda changing my mind... I dont really know what I want to do... im interested in sciences, and i want a good paying job that you dont have to be SUPER smart to get into the programs... i just want something that would be a good job and i would like to know the salary as well, any suggestions to help me choose what i wanna do, maybe a website that can help me choose or give me a list of possible science careers... this is just soooo confusing! Im already enrolled in my first year sciences at UPEI (university of Prince Edward Island) Canada.

  1. There are a ton of careers in the medical field that you might like.  Personally, I am going into nursing.  If you don't want to do any kind of medical career, I guess there's some kind of research you could do?  You could be a statistician, to pick something a little random, or go into archeology.  You could do anthropology and travel the world, or some kind of industrial work.  I guess it's hard to say without knowing you, and a lot of people wonder what they will do.  Go with a general idea that you like, and you can narrow it down from there.  Many people going into college only have general ideas, and as you study different things, you will be better able to decide what exactly you want to do.

  2. i just recently graduated with a science degree, trust me dont worry about a thing just get your undergrad finished first, you will figure  it out. hope this helps. nate.

  3. Just take science classes and see which field you like best, they're all good career options.

  4. Hiya Olivia. I know how tough it can be to find a career. My daughter went through the same thing when she graduated from high school. She ended up taking a year off and just working any old job, and seeing if there was something that interested her. We didn't want her to do that, as the odds of her going onward with her education were very slim the longer she waited (that's what her counselors said too). But, for her, that's what worked. She formed a few friendships with the local cops, and got interested in law enforcement. She read a few books, and found that the more she read, the more she wanted to learn. So, the next year, she enrolled in a tech school and got her associates degree in criminal justice. This fall, she's going back into a different school to get her bachelor's degree, as she's found that she needs more education for the line of work she wants. It might be that you'll have to look at other fields of interest that your science degree would incorporate, so that you wouldn't have to change your courses too much. Most schools have a counselor that you can talk to that would have the kind of information that you're seeking. Also, your local tech school might have a careers class you can take, that could help you see what your strengths are, and what kind of jobs would fit your particular interests. There aren't too many college grads who finish the same way they started, often changing their majors several times over the course of their college careers. Some colleges even let you attend a class for a week or so to see if it's something that "fits" you, then let you change to something else. The drawback witht that is that there may not be room in a class that you may want to take. Now is the time to talk to those counselors, though. Time is short, as you well know. Talk to your parents too, and see if they can point you to some resources too. I wish you much success in your career choice. <*)))><
