The former Fiorentina head coach went on to state that the introduction of a 12 man bench would revolutionise football in the Italian Premier Lega, the Serie A.
La Nazionale head coach has given his support to the permission of teams to field 12 players on their bench and stated that he was happy that the legislation was passed. The new law allows teams to field their full strength sides on match day instead of
the five players that were allowed before this.
The 55-year-old did not leave any stone unturned in his praise for the new law, and stated that it will be a major step for all the championships that adopt this ruling. He further reflected that it also made the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 of the managers, coaches and tacticians
that much easier, as it was heartbreaking to exclude any player from the team on match day.
There would be no demoralising affects of this move and having played and coached at the highest level, Prandelli knows exactly how it feels to be left out of the squad and also making the call of excluding players in the team.
The Azzurri national team coach went on to state:
“Sending a player to the stands is one of the most difficult things for a Coach and it's humiliating for the players involved. With all players now on the bench, it's definitely an advantage – they will certainly feel more involved.”
This will revolutionise football in more ways than one, as teams will have more options to choose from when they decide upon their tactics and he also stated that managers and coaches have been lobbying for such a solution.
He also went on to state that a meeting in Spain convened on the back of last year, which included all the big associations of the world, the issue of players on the bench was a much talked about topic and he went on to comment on his opinion, remarking:
“And last year in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 during a meeting of the national associations, this was one of the main talking points. I hope the rule is extended to national team qualifiers and for the next World Cup.”
Coach Prandelli went on to comment that there would still be only three substitutions allowed to the team, and it would not give an advantage to anyone, it will only make the team feel more involved.
