Having a Friend Pose Naked for me...?

Ok, so I am trying to get into art school and I need to fill my portfolio with "observational" drawings...It is a pretty big part of a portfolio to have a model drawing and I don't have anywhere around where I live that has Models at all. So I was thinking about asking my Best friend to Pose for me, but we have seen each other naked before, and we are both guys... so would this be ok? what does everyone else think about this?

no, its not really. i would find someone who you dont actually know, it would be a lot more comfortable

Yes, of course it's okay. No one is going to think about you differently. They will understand if it is for artistic purposes. I'm guessing you are concerned with being called "g*y" or whatever. It's really not a big deal. My friend takes figure drawing in Los Angeles and she asks her friends to pose for her all the time. If you are determined to get into art school, then you'll know what the right thing to do is.

If he's comfortable with it i dont see a problem its art! He just gotta remember that everyone that looks at your portfolio is gonna see it. ;)

Go to a strip club and you'll find plenty of naked models you can use for your drawings.

if u have a hosexual attraction to him then i dont think it is ok because it could be viewed as just another "trick" to get him naked if u dont and u r truly interested in art then i day davinci and others sculpted naked men all the time the human body is a form of art all its own in fact i say my wifes body is a truly beautiful art form and would love to have a bust of her sculpted
