Having a baby and a wedding

Question

In that order...We started planning our wedding in early June, late July we found out I'm pregnant. The wedding is going to be small and we're only planning on spending $7,000. My fiance, me and my mother are contributing to the wedding but my fiance is a full time student that only works part time on the weekend. He is also a musician so he plans on getting steady gigs with his current band. So with that said, what are some good ways to start saving money for the baby? We have a year to pay for the wedding and in between that time we'll get income tax (which is pretty good since I already have a child). Any suggestions are appreciated!

check around for second hand stores for children. they're great for getting used stuff for less. make a list of things you'll need and slowly work through it. put them in order of importance, obviously baby clothes are more important then a stroller or johnny jumper. that way if you don't get everything at least it'll be the less important stuff that's left behing. use fresh kitchen towels instead of spit rags, keep them separate from the other kitchen towels of course. breast feeding is also a great way to save money. the baby is healthier and of course you don't have to spend for tons of bottles or formula. I do recommend investing in a pump if you go that direction.
