  1. ok stationary ollies shouldnt turn so dont listen to that other guy

if the board is turning its because ur turning your shoulders, probably without even realizing it just keep em straight and the board should land straight as well. if it still doesn't ur not popping the board straight down ur popping it to the side like in a pop shuvit

now to get them in the air. really as long as your popping the board correctly it will go into the air so make sure your doing that right. the pop isn't just pushing it down, the tip of the tail must bounce against ground. the pop and the jump are both one motion as you jump, jump off your back foot hard the bring your knees up as close to your chest as possible. now slide your front foot up to the bolts when you slide your foot its more of a rolling motion than a slide and only the side of your shoe should be in contact with the board. once you do that just bring the board down and bend your knees again to absorb the impact.

other than that its all practice. your first Ollie isn't going to be 2 feet high, that takes lots of practice taking all those steps and perfecting them into one smooth motion

in time olleing will become second nature to you

  2. To do a good ollie make sure you are bending your knees low enough and when you jump raise your legs high up to your chest.  Your other problem that the board turns maybe because you are doing it stationary.  Do the ollie while rolling at a comfortable speed on a smooth surface.
