  1. Bean bag toss, get a huge piece of cardboard that is free standing and cut holes into it for them to throw bean bags through and win a prize. The Duckie Game, take a large bucket or a small baby pool fill it with water and get a pack of those ruber ducks(or plastic ducks) and marks numbers on the bottom and have the kids pick one duck each and whoever gets the number closes to what you choose gets a prize(think of a number and right it down before the game starts). If you are willing to clean up the mess you can have a silly string game.Where you buy cans of silly string and with a piece of sidewalk chalk, mark lines and put the footage or yards beside it and have the kids spray the silly string and whoever gets their silly string the farthest wins. A balloon race. Have the kids put a balloon between their knees and walk to the finish line(draw a start and finish line with chalk) and if they drop it or pop it they must start over.Whoever gets to te finish line first wins.

  2. I like the games above.

Just some other idaes for you:

    For The Younger Ones:

    Hunting for Stars

You will need to buy a little packet of little stars – the kind that children get on their school work is ideal. Hide them around the room/house before your guests arrive. Remember how difficult they are to find should depend on the childrens ages. The idea is that the children have to collect as many pairs as they can – 2 stars the same colour. The person with the most pairs wins.

    Musical Cushions

For this game you need some music and some cushions scattered on the floor - have one less cushion than you have people. When the music plays everyone should dance or move around the room and when it stops they should sit on a cushion with no part of their body touching the floor. The person without a cushion is out. A cushion should be removed at the start of each new round. The last player left wins the game.

    Balloon Patting

Arrange a safe course and give each child a balloon. Each child has to keep the balloon up by continually patting it. No holding allowed. If the ballon touches the ground you have to start again.

    Flap The Fish

Cut out fish shapes from newspaper. Use a hard floor. Give each child a rolld up newspaper and tell them to flap at the fish to move it along the course. They cannot touch the fish! Flapping fast can make it look like the fish is swimming.

    Simon Says

I like 'copying' free graduation party games. One person is the leader. They say 'Simon says' and adds actions such as put your hands in the air. The kids must copy their actions. The trick is if the leader does not say Simon says the kids must do nothing. You are out if you move without the leader saying Simon says.

    Crafts

A safe crafts table with activities tied in with the party theme makes great free graduation party games. Depending on their age, the kids can decorate empty plastic drink bottles, create ocean scenes in a plastic bottle, color in a pre printed drawing or make on theme items like pirate's telescopes. Very much depends on the age of the kids.

    Buried Treasure

If you have a sandpit, simply bury treasure and have the kids try and find it. You just need to have safe treasure for the age of the children.

    For older kids:

    Limbo (suitable for all ages)

This is a good one of the party games for the garden. Play some fun music while your friends stand in line waiting to bend backwards low enough to fit under the limbo stick (broom handle, yardstick, etc.). In order to win, the limbo master must not touch the stick or fall on the floor while limboing under the stick (which is usually held by 2 people).

Bobbing For Apples (suitable for older ages)

Bobbing for apples is one of the better graduation party games. Set up a lrge pail filled with water and enough appls to cover the surface. Lay out plenty of towels. The guests using only their teeth must try and get an apple out of the pail. Usually hilarious and very messy!.

Blow Fish (or Ships) (suitable for all ages)

Arrange a pail with water. Also straws and either small boats which float in the water, or fish. Set up the players in two's who play against each other. The object of the game is to blow the boat to your opponents side. The players can get very wet, so remember to set out towels.

Jump Rope (suitable for all ages)

With some jump ropes, just have the guests play jump rope with the guest jumping for the most jumps the winner.

Jar Game (suitable for all ages)

Fill a jar with candy and ask each guests to guess how many items in the jar.

Pass The Orange (suitable for all ages)

This fun-filled game is inexpensive and simple. The only supplies it requires are 2 oranges and people with both a neck and a chin. Divide the group into 2 teams. When the person (not actually playing the game) says "Go!" the people must pass the orange from neck to neck using only chins and necks. The team that can get the orange to the last neck in line the quickest without dropping the orange wins.

Stepping Stones (suitable for ages 8 and over)

Split everyone into 2 teams, pair the people in the teams up and arrange a short course. Ahead of the party cut a big pair of feet from card. In the teams one person is the foot person, the other the stepper. The foot person places the feet in front of the stepper who must only walk on the card feet. They must go up and down the course and then the next pair can start. First team to complete wins.

Treasure Hunt (suitable for all ages)

In advance hide lots of items in the garden (or indoors). Tie in the objects with the party theme. Give everyone a sheet with the hidden items listed (or drawn for youngsters.) Time the teams or individuals as they find the items. For example for a pirate theme party you could hide fake coins. Have prizes for the winners.

I hope you have lots of helpers arranged.

    Good Luck!
