Having a cursh on one of my guy friends? Good or Bad? ?

I knew one of my guy friends since grade 3. We became really good friends at that time, and I had a crush on him in elementary school. As time passed me as him, became less close, and he ended up moving to different schools. I never forgot about him, and thought about him often. I saw him today, and we exchanged #s to hang out. The thing is...He's also close with my sister, and I think he has/or had a crush on her. That always got to me, because I secretly liked him. He's also VERY shy, which makes it hard for me, because i'm very outgoing and flirtatious. Should I back off since he likes my sister (My sister is not interested since he's younger than her), or pursue to get to know him more?

r u sure he likes ur sister??if so then back off if not then tell ur sister to let him know that u like him and maybe something might happen..well we all know that things happen for a reason**if it's meant to stay that way then let it be..besides a shy guy ummm i don't know about that one..i've dated a close friend of mine who was shy and well it was not for me since i am a friendly and outgoing too..so i don't know, try it!

If your sister isn't interested , go for it. Likely he'll be pleasantly surprised.
