hi im 23 with a boy of 3 called kyle alexander rainey and his little sister is due 5th sept-though feeling ready now! i am completly bored reading lists and lists of names and nothing seems to work.i want her to have a beautiful timeless name,quite short with a nice runing middle name.keep saying kyle and ???? thnks for suggestions

i like Chloe Elizabeth or Chloe  Jane (originally like Chloe Rain but that wouldnt work with your last name)

If you want a timeless name, you could go with a classic, like Elizabeth.

When I think of timeless, though, I think of old film actresses or models from the 40s, 50s, and 60s.

Examples:

Audrey, for Audrey Hepburn.

Grace, for Grace Kelly.

Ava, for Ava Gardner.

I know a little girl who is named Sophia after Sophia Loren, and she's a doll. There are tons more, you just have to look.

We ended up naming and registering my daughter when she was 6 weeks old,  on the last day we legally had to do it because we couldn't decide on a name!!!  I liked unusual names and especially those that ended in "a" but her dad liked more common names in general and I didn't like any of them.....so in the end he came up with an old timeless name which everyone would have heard but not many people use (I'm not going to say because I want it to remain rare!!) and we slightly changed the spelling and added an "a" on the end!!  It's a very pretty name and I bet no-one else has it!!!  (Which is what I wanted!!) It's 3 syllables but if you leave the "a" off the end for short, which we mostly do then its a simple, timeless, and not too common name.   Perhaps you could come up with something like that?

Hi I was exactly the same, I am having a boy and as soon as we found out what we were having I had the name that me and my hubby both like, but for a girl we werent really sure, I we like the name Lyra, etc, but I think if I hadnt of decided on a name at this stage then I would just wait to see what my baby looked like and then named her. As all the ones in the books are not really that helpful, I wanted somthing modern but in the books they are not.
