can't take anti-inflamatories. I almost fainted. I have different kinds of dental surgery before and they are painful. DR said he doesn't prescribe anything more than a couple Tylenol, which will do nothing for pain. I have a very low threshold for pain and surgery is tomorrow and I am quite scared. Is this painful?

  1. Tylenol should be fine in most cases, but if you have a low pain threshold, then suggest this to your dr so that something stronger can be given

  2. the only pain involved with implants is the healing of the tissue. there are no nerves in the bone. and if youve ever had  a tooth pulled the same pain associated with the healing of an extracted tooth is about the same as the healing process from an implant.
