The boy girl ratio is nearly 10:8 In some communities it is 10:6. Boys are finding difficulty in getting girls for marriage.Now a days girls are studying well and getting good jobs. The girl child is more caring for the elderly parents than boys.

In the days to come the girl will be blessing for the parents.It is like winning a lottery worth millions.

It is true in some places. My daughter is amazing. And, she is not taking just any guy either, she will not date anyone unless they have either the same or higher education and is working. She won't put up with c**p either. Men had their tyrancy, it is time for paybacks, big time! And yes, your girls will take care of you when you are older, with love and respect if you love and respect them. That is the way most women are.

having a baby is a boon. doesnt matter girl or boy. i have a baby girl.its wrong to think that only a girl takes care of parents. my husbands sister gives a d**n to her parents., she exploits them when she needs them and then forgets they exist. my husband takes care of them

Well, my friend it is not so it is the kind of thinking that one has it depends on the kind of one's thinking... Whatever God gifts the parents with his grace is really worth & having a girl or a boy child depends upon god it is not on one's hand!

Any child is a blessing weather they are male or female. Surely you should not want a child as a status symbol that has a good job or because you expect them to care for you in old age? And as for the ratio of boys being higher than girls, this is often because in a lot of religions and eastern countries girl babies are simply left to die shortly after birth as the families want a boy to carry on the family line and to provide for the family or because the family do not want to provide a financial benefit to in the form a dowry to the grooms family upon marriage of the daughter.

Im sure you are very happy that you have a new baby daughter, as would be anyone with a new addition to their family and i wish you well but i must say that your question does pose concern for the real motives behind your happiness.

yes girl as an blessing of goddess lakshmi as today the ratio is too bad for our country b/w boys and girls so girls are an lottery for us, also i want to ask those mothers who abort and kill their girl child .......  that they too were girls and if their mothers too took this decision at their time then they would not be existing in this beautiful world...... moreover human being is an best creation of god and killing it could result disastrous situation......
