  1. Day time or Evening? If it's evening, candles everywhere, they look beautiful glowing outside at night. Not much more is needed, the stars do the rest.

As for day, make a beachy theme, chaise lounges with towels folded neatly over the top, baskets with sun block or tanning lotions, Picnic supplies for night or day. Have a great one.

  2. well how fun and relaxing , well adults love relaxing  and talking  but have fun in the same time we should know , do a hawaiian style luau it's summer ofcourse , string colorful beautiful lanterns along with fire torches you can hire a band if your willing or start up the boom box , pick realxing colors , baby blue and light green and light pink , host a fun BBQ with a party plater of crunchy tacos and crispy steaks and ribs and iced tea , lemonade some beer for the men with wine and pleasent vodka , a pina colada and margaritas , have some deserts like cake or ice cream and in the pool maybe sprinkle some floating flowers on lilly pads and make it look secret , !!! have fun hope i helped !

  3. I agree with the clear, stringed, Christmas lights, I would hang them all around the party area, the pool, the yard, the trees, etc.  It will add such a festive look and instead of the blaring overhead lights at night, they will add SUCH a nice touch!

For the pool, put some lounge chairs and waterproof cushions around the poolside area so when you and your friends are not swimming, it becomes a lounge area to sit and relax at.

Get an inflatable boat, fill it with ice and put some drinks in it, water, soda, juice, lemonade, and iced tea and then float it IN the pool!  This way it's a cooler for you and your friends when you want a drink when you're swimming, but it's also a cool effect and decoration.  Just one warning. tell everyone that the tops of the drinks MUST go back INTO the boat or they WILL break the filter! You don't want them thrown into the pool, so make sure to tell everyone that they put the tops back on their drinks or into the boat!

Get some inflatable beach balls and scatter them in the pool, people will toss them around and play with them!

Set up a volleyball net in the yard and then people can play volleyball and badmitten in the yard.

You can also get some of those paper lanterns, in white, the ones that don't have the lights in them and hang them around the party area in different lengths.  It will look really cool having them hang there, especially with the twinkling lights.

You can also put some balloons up in the corners of the party area.  Just go either with your favorite colors or with different tones of the color blues and then a white being it's a pool party and the color will match the water.

For centerpieces on the table, there's SO much you can do,  here's some ideas:

You can take a pineapple, cut off the top and put it aside and save it.  Hollow out the inside and then put in it a piece of floral foam, just make sure it's soaked.  Then add some white carnations, but make sure they ONLY go to the top of the pineapple, then take some toothpicks and put them into the top piece, but in the bottom part of the top piece and put it back in the pineapple at a tilt, then add a straw and a drink umbrella, it will look like a pina coloda!

    OR

Get a margarita glass and cut some lime green carnations so they only reach the rim of the glass, they will look like the drinks!

    OR

Get a beer mug, put water in it and then some yellow food coloring to make it look like beer, then add white carnations, but only until they reach the rim of the glass, this is the foam!

    OR

Get a clear vase, in the bottom put some sand and seashells and then add a white pillar candle and put it at the center of the tables.

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party!!

  5. hang white Christmas lights EVERYWHERE! borrow some from friends if you need more- looks really pretty at night like stars. get a bunch of candles in jars all over the yard- you can even make candle holders from paper bags (small lunch sized ones) you can find colored ones or white ones and punch holes in them to make a pattern, put a hand full of sand in each to keep weighted down and a tea light candle- have them all over down your sidewalks or paths to light the way! use a nice table cloth on your food table for a fancier look- you can even use boxes underneath to prop up serving trays for a tiered effect on the table (you can hang icicle lights from underneath the food table behind the table cloth for a pretty look). get some floating candles or lights for in the pool- maybe a few beach balls floating around also. if your yard is looking a bit dull- pick up a few bags of mulch to spruce up your flower beds- have all your flower pots out on the patio in the corners- and make sure to pick up some mosquito repellents! (the Off Lantern works great!) make sure you have good music on all night!
