  1. The average salary in London is £34,777, however "to buy an average home in London requires an average salary of £55,000".

It is definitely possible to live in London (well, near to London) on £25,000, but you won't get as much for your money as you would if you lived elsewhere.

  2. Amount of money does not matter ... what matters is your life style and your requirements to live the life style of your choice...

  3. That is slightly above average earnings for the UK as a whole. It is barely enough to live on in London though.

  4. It would be enough but it depends on what standard of living your accustomed to. Tough!

I would be looking for a job in northern england, scotland, n.ireland or Ireland

My friend commutes from Nottingham (2hrs by train) he is on 50K a year before bonus.

  5. Of course you can live with £25K earnings.

It all depends on the circumstances like,

    Living with parents

    Paying rent

    Paying mortgage.

If you are living with parents then £25K is enough .

  6. In London you need to be on at least twice that to even think about a decent life (eg, having less than 2 hour each way commute)
