Question:

Having a nightmare trying to get replacement GCSE certificates!?

Does anyone know of a website where I can find out exactly which examining boards covered my school at the time I took my GCSE's?

So far I've found at least 15 different examining boards who all seem to think they 'may' have covered my area but for them to see if they have my results I need to send them all a fee.

I can't really afford to send out £30 to 15 different boards just for them to come back to me and say they don't have my results

I need the the replacement certificates before the 25th of September

  1. Go to your old school and ask which board you did them with there are 3 main boards AQA , Edexcel and OCR.

  2. I think you'll have to ask the school. Its been a while but I clearly remember when I took mine there were at least two, possibly more boards covering various subjects in our school.

  3. You've got GCSE's?

  4. Shot in the dark because I haven´t worked in the U.K. in many years, but have you tried phoning your Local Education Authority.....(education office at the council?) They should have records of which exam boards your school was registered with.

  5. when did you take your gcse? and if you took it recently then you can ask your friends and use their examiner board.

but most probably its AQA for english and OCR for maths.

  6. The school should still have a lonely secretary stuck there for the Summer. Just ring between 10.00 and 2.00 or something. She/he may be on hols for the first two weeks of the holidays, but will be back after that.

  7. When I needed mine I contacted my old school and they told me who to contact :-)

  8. Maybe you could go back and ask your school where you took your GCSE's at.
