About 15 of the guests will be small children ages 1 to 5.

  1. If the pizza is the main food, I'd cater for 3 slices per adult and 1 slice per child under 5.  So in your case (lets say 40 guests)

    * 25x3 = 75 slices

    * 15x1 (kids) = 15 slices

    So you need about 90 slices.  An average large pizza here in Australia has 8 slices, better to slightly over cater so I'd go for about 12 large pizzas.

    If its just finger food along with other savouries - get a few different ones and ask your pizza shop to cut into squares, that way you get about 12-16 squares per pizza.

    Remember to give at least a days notice for that size order and good luck with your party!!

    PS - Remember some people are vegetarian or have bland tastes so always include a couple of plain cheese (margarita) and hawaiian (ham and pineapple) in your order.  In Australia I find these and a few meatlovers and supremes and everyone's happy.

  2. I would say about 12 pizzas.

  3. I would say about 10 but I would also think hard about WHAT is going on the pizzas.  If you have that many children, and the are picky (I know first hand) so you may need to get a few with just plain cheese.  So many people these days are into the whole Vegan and Vegeterian thing too, so you should get some without meat on them, and then you get your die hard meat eaters who don't like veggies on their pizza.  that will probably bring you to around 10 pizzas right there!  Plus you can always heat up a pizza so it won't go to waste!

  4. I'd say about 10 lge that will give about 2 slices per guest. I'd maybe shoot a little higher though you always have someone that will do more and figure whats the worst that can happen? You have cold pizza for breakfast w/ the leftovers. YUM

  5. I would average 2 to 3 slices per person, and each pizza has about 8 slices each so I would say 9 to 10 pizza's.  Dominoes offers 5.55 per pizza, or you can do Little Ceasers or Papa Johns for $5.

  6. Hi Dee ,

    Well , I agree that you should order 6 or pizzas ...

      I`ll tell you why ?

      6 large pizzas each guest gets one slice ,

      = 36 guests can eat from those 6 pizzas and

    if you want that 36 guest to have 2 slices go for 12 large pizzas !

       But who can ingest a large slice of pizza more than one ...

    Any ways up to you !

    You`re telling there are 15 children ....

      You`d need 3 medium pizzas , they will get extra too !

    Finally = 6 large pizzas and 3 medium pizzas

                    Total is 9 pizzas ...you`d need to order !!!

    Sooo Dee this was the calculation according to me ...

    Havefun !

  7. to be safe i'd go with 9

  8. Depending on how long is your party going to last. Assuming it is a afternoon gather from 1 to 3 pm : 6-7 pizzas (each with 8 peices) should do. I guess other food are available as you are expecting children. Other finger food : sandwiches, chicken nuggets, mini ice creams and large serving of salad (lettuce, nuts, raisins, cherry tomates, dressing: honey and peanut butter).

  9. 6 or 7

  10. i guess 9 will be enough..im hungry:)
