Having a suprise Nascar Themed Bday party for my Husband's 40th...?

I need some ideas for food and games.... I want food that you would see at a track..and games that kids and adults alike can play!! Do you have any suggestions for food or games? Do you have a site that I can check out for some ideas?

I will suggest to make NAscar Cupcakes for kids and adults. You can decorate them with Nascar rings cake toppers or Nascar Flags!!

They will love it!

tricycle races (hang some signs on them with "sponsor" names)  ...  Do you have a checkerboard cake pan?  You can make a chocolate & white checkerboard cake, and put little flags on the top - or alternate chocolate & white cupcakes on a big platter to look like checkerboard flags  ....  I'm sure there are Nascar things to decorate cakes, plates with at Michael's or Hobby Lobby ....  If you get desperate, you could always use things from the kids' movie "Cars":).....   I don't know what foods are at a racetrack, but hot dogs with all sorts of toppings (sauerkraut, a pot of chili, onions, etc) seems like it would fit any summer sporting event.  Do they sell packs of peanuts at the races, like at baseball games?

beer brats

get the grill going

put an aluminum loaf pan on the hot grill

add two sliced onions to two tablespoons butter in the pan

once the onions cook down add a can or two of beer, bud will do fine. grill a package of five brats on LOW heat over the coals till brown.

by now your beer and onion mix should be boiling. toss the brats in the beer/onion mix for about 5 or ten minutes.

serve with mustard and the beer onions on buns.

you can add more onions if you have more people.

Well, I dont know anything about Nascar except for the stereotype.  But I can think of tailgaiting.  Brats, Burgers, Ribs, Chicken legs, potato salad, pasta salad, fruit salad, things like that.

find a toy remote control race track to have out for young and old to have races for prizes. get race themed decorations, have a race playing on TV or the movie Cars for the kids to watch, make sure everyone dresses in their favorite Nascar wear, make a Nascar cake- maybe just an oval track with some toy cars on it - have potato sack races around an oval track you set up in the yard, play horseshoes or volleyball or something. maybe get a Nascar trivia game for the guys to play. heres a good site for some party supplies http://www.orientaltrading.com/applicati...

for food gril out burgers, brats and hot dogs- make it easy and pick up a veggie tray and taco dip from the grocery store, chips and dip, maybe some potato salads or pasta salads.
