Having acrylic nails while having contact lenses?

i recently just got my 1st pair of contacts and the doc told me not 2 take them out with my nails because i will scratch them. plus its much easier to take them out with your fingers. is there anyone who has experience with taking out & getting in contacts with long nails?? if so, please help me!!!

You can take them out using the sides of your finger tips, or when you take them out, use the pad of your clean index finger and 'slide' the contact to the bottom of your eye, until it slides onto your cheek, right underneath your eye. This may sound dead complicated, but it's not. Just be really careful you don't tear them!! When you take them off, take the contacts out by using your index finger and middle finger ...placing each finger at the outer edge of the contact and then gently squeeze and then the contact would sort of pop off your eye ...simple.
