Question:

Having issues with a teacher, should I talk?

Since the beginning of the year, my English teacher has been giving me some trouble with marking certain projects. I'm a 90% avg student, but sometimes, she flips out, goes back on what she's said to me, and gives me 50-60% on an assignment for no reason.

I'm fed up with it, and my mother wants to go talk to my principal about it tomorrow. Could my teacher potentially take revenge on me for reporting her by failing me or marking me harder?

  1. why did you let it wait so long? if there is a problem, and you have tried talking with the teacher, but it has not helped, time to go up a level.  has your mom talked with the teacher first? if yes and still nothing, go to the principal.  and, no, they can't take revenge on you- but if the teacher is offened, they might grade you harder- but they have to justify any grade they give.

  2. of course you have to talk to your principal. my teacher's previous lecturer improved completely after being talked to. don't worry about whether she takes revenge or not because in the first place she was not being fair. unless there is really something wrong with your project.

  3. you deserve on explanation for the marks she is giving you and if she tries to hold it against you speak with you principal again or see if it would be possible to transfer to a different teacher

  4. The fact that you're a 90% average doesn't mean that you don't deserve 50 - 60%... you're probably not doing the project right and/or didn't understand the directions choosing instead to blame the teacher.

Teachers aren't perfect but they're there to help you not s***w you out of a grade.   Maybe you should try talking to the teacher.
