Having liability woth a 50/50 claim on crash?

Question

if its 50/50 i have heard that each person just pays for their own repairs. however i only have liability meaning my insurance will not pay to fix my car only the others in the case that it is my fault. so if its 50/50 does that mean that i will have to pay for all my repairs from my pocket or does it mean the other guy in the crash's insurance will pay for half of the damage?
