  1. Well done! It looks like you're developing into a great all-rounder. And even if you lost you still made a vital contribution to your team.

I got my first half-century when I was 14 for my village team. But I don't think it would have happened if our opposition hadn't been as bad as they were. We were playing against a bunch of ancient old men who's average age must have been about 90! I also remember it so vividly because during my energetic celebration I managed to hit myself with my own bat! Haha.

  2. Well done mate!! You seem like a real good talent!! maybe just maybe you could become as good as KooKee one day lol

Actually i hit a 100 before i hit a 50!! In my second ever match (1st match i got out for 1) in the 1st round of the Cup. We were against a team from Hull, i opened the batting and managed to score 119 out of 171 of the teams score. Ironically the bowler who got me out that day plays for my team now and is one of my closest friends!!. I still have video of that knock (awww my Mum recorded it for me LOL) I will always remember one stroke where i came down the track and hooked the bowler over the boundary for six!! to this day i dont think i have ever hit a sweeter stroke than that.

Well done mate for getting 50!! I still need 7 more 100's to break my club record, and at the moment i am injured :(

  3. Well done !! Congrats!

Can't really answer ur question coz i haven't played competitive cricket.

  4. I made my first competitive 50 in a match in which my team had lost full hope. But i played well and we won.

  5. i guess im slow, cus i dont know what your talking about??

**edit**  Thought I was still in Polls & Surveys.... I don't know how I wandered out of it....  My Bad!!!!

  6. well mine was on a "typical, stinking ****ing hot day!" in a 45 over match, i was actually involved in 2 33 run partnerships where the other batsman scored 4! (slack buggers!). i opened and batted thru the innings, scoring 35 in the first 15 overs(got dropped by the keeper on about 24, the only chance i gave), then i dont know what happened, in the next 15, i advanced my score to 39! all of a sudden i couldnt hit it off the wicket! but as i thought at the time, you cant make runs if your out

i know they say your not supposed to count your runs, but believe me i counted everyone of those last 11 and managed to get there! we only had 10 batsman that day (which cost me a hundred!!) and when our last batsman was dismissed after 40 overs, i was 72no (ok so i might not have got to 100, but i at least would have went for it swinging!) out of a score of around 140 (once again, just slack by my teammates LOL), then to really get me, all that effort and we still got beaten! but hey i had a good day, had afew friends (including the keeper, who dropped me on 24!) on the other side as well and the whole day was quite enjoyable

but i say to Sarah as well, never underrate the old guys! lol. of the 3 of the best bowlers in my side, one is 57 and the other 68! the 68 year old is also our most reliable batsman (not our highest runscorer, but he is the most dependable) and last winter toured England with the Australian over 60s side and was there best player with both bat and ball! the one thats 57 is my favourite bowler to keep to, cos just about every ball is on a good length on or just outside off stump, which is a dream to keep to cos nothing goes down leg side!
