  1. I had three done at once and it wasn't that bad.  They had me lie down so I could close my eyes and that really helped.  The pain wasn't bad at all...for me it was just knowing what was going on that made me queasy...take an mp3 or something so you can listen to music to keep your mind off what's going on if  you think it will help.

But really, don't worry, it's not a horrible thing and it will be over before you know it.

    Best of luck.

  2. I had to have a mole on my back removed because the derm. said it could develop into cancer. I was super scared. More about the cancer though. but I was also scared about getting it removed. But it didn't hurt. They gave me a shot. And that pinched a little. But after that, I didn't feel a thing. I have had a birthmark removed on my arm, my armpit and my back. And although I was worried it really is a piece of cake.

  3. I'm TERRIFIED of needles and I had to have two moles cut off in the beginning of June.  It's really not that bad once you get past the prick of the needle you don't feel anything else other than pulling on your skin (because the spot is deadened).

I had to get stitches too but that wasn't bad either because you don't feel that.  I was in and out in less than 30 minutes, very procedural for them.  However I still have two huge dark red scars almost three months later and that's the most aggravating thing about it, I don't know why it hasn't healed like anything else does...I felt some minor pain later that night so just take a few Tylenol and relax

Also let them (doctor/nurses) know your scared and they will give you hints to calm you down.  They had me lie down on the table and talk to someone else as to divert my attention while they did it.

Good luck, nothing to be scared of really!  It'll be fine but take care of the wounds with their instructions...probably why I still have scars
