Sorry guys for all of the questions. On Wednesday i am having 8 teeth altogether pulled. All 4 of my wisdom teeth will be pulled. How bad is my mouth going to swell? And how long will the swelling of the face last? When should all of the pain be gone? Like to where i will feel completely normal again how long do you think that would take? And i am getting braces a week from today is that safe? Thank you everyone :)

  1. I had four teeth pulled and then my braces put on a week after.  You will be fine.

  2. I recently had all four wisdom teeth pulled in July. I was put to sleep and numbed very well so I didn't feel a thing during the surgery. The day off I couldn't eat anything because there was to much bleeding occurring. The second day I would eat pudding and apple sauce, the third mash potatoes and ramen. It healed in a week. Expect a lot of blood and a bit of pain. As long as you keep up with the gauze and take your medication as prescribed, you should be okay. My swelling went down in about two days with icing. I dont know about getting braces a week after though, that doesnt seem too good to do....

  3. umm...first of all..we all only have 4 wisdom teeth. Two on top, two on the bottom.

Second....yes it does suck. I was awake the whole time because I didn't want to be put out. But it doesn't hurt during, just after. Of course it's not gonna be fun! but you will survive. And NO what kind of a bad idea is that with the braces???? Does your dentist know you are getting them this soon? My face was swollen for at least a week...everone is different. Some people are fine the next day. Other need 2 weeks.

  4. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled at once too and it is very painful. Your mouth will be very swollen for the first 24 hours and mildly 2 days after. The pain should be gone in 1 to 2 weeks. to feel completly normal again will never happen because your getting braces which is painful until they get taken off. It's perfectly safe to get braces in a week. wish you all the best! =)

Depending on how much "maneuvering and contorting" your dentist will have to do, you should only notice very minor / if any *soreness* in your jaws for (maybe) two weeks - max.

  6. Hello I Just Had the exact same thing done today around 7 O'clock this morning i had eight teeth pulled and temporarys put in and all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and the only advice that i have to keep the swelling down is to get like a frozen bag of peas , corn, Etc. and wrap them in a towel and put one on each side or your face it has helped me tremendesly the only discomfort are the sutures that they put in the back of your mouth Also brush your teeth every time after you eat something and be careful to brush the sutured areas or actually just dont go near them you can cause the to tear and bleed heavily and DO NOT rinse with mouthwash it is too strong and can hurt you the same for carbonated drinks dont drink them for 3-4 days because the fizzing can hut the areas where it is sutured , well i hope you good luck
