could be there is no active owner. if it goes beyond the 14 days, look for a new group to join

Take a look at the group site.  Under the page there will be a graph showing how many posts each month.  if there aren't any lately, the group is probably dead so forget it.

sometimes the owner doesnt get no alerts that new members. there for, you need to wait till the owner goes to group & sees you want to join, ive had that trouble & found out the owner didnt have the alerts on, & possibley no owner, but more so its taking long as the owner  didnt get to you yet, heck, ive waited as long as 2 weeks in one group and almost gave up, till owner said, sorry hon, i forgot to turn on my joining   alerts. hope this helps
