I recently went to the dentist because a tooth had snapped, i waited too long before going so now i need a root canal, now this tooth has snapped at the side so its wide open and causing me huge amounts of pain, ive heard that grinding a paracetamol between my teeth on the tooth that hurts can get rid of the pain temporarily, i was wondering if anyone knows whether this really works and if anyone had any other solutions. Its 5 in the morning at the moment and i haven't slept for even a second because of the pain. Thanks in advance for any responses.

  1. You need pain killers. I don't think paracetamol is going to be enough. If you are of age you might try a little alcohol (or a lot). You need to get a prescription in the morning and with any luck see the dentist so he/she can take care of it.

  2. Feel for you...I'd be at the oral surgeon first thing in the morning.  Take some ibuprofen, it may help.
