just a couple days ago i thought for sure i was getting the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi 12.2-Megapixel dSLR camera. But recently i found a great deal for the Canon EOS 40D 10.1 megapixel. the only reason i wasn't looking at this camera before was because of the pricing (it was more expensive) but i just found a deal online- http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8794691&type=product&id=1205537713445. Thanks :)

  1. WildDigital are scam artists and that price of $584 is bogus. Here are some horror stories from people that gave WildDigital their credit card info: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Wil...

So if you've had a positive experience with WildDigital in the past, consider yourself lucky. When a store prices popular new gear at less than 50% of what it costs anywhere else, 'taking your chances' is the wrong instinct ;-)

Either stick with the XSi or look for a used 30D. I list a few reputable camera stores in my profile info. One of those might have a better price than BestBuy.

The Canon 100mm macro will work beautifully on any Canon dSLR camera. It sounds like the right lens for the job.

  2. NO NO NO NO NO

like stated above, reseller.com is your friend

    This place is a scam.

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/ has good prices.

If there's a place that has a price too good to be true, it is.

With the current rebate, you can get the 40d for almost the same price as XSI, but it's body only.

  3. TO BEGIN WITH : I NEVER BUY ANYTHING IN THAT ORDER ONLINE   WHY ?? I GO TO THE STORE  AND LOOK AT IT  MOST STORES GIVE YOU GOOD ADVICE AND IF YOU BUY ONLINE  TRY TO BRING IT BACK  IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG   you can kiss your money goodbye
