Question:

Having s*x after baby

I am about 3 weeks post-partum and me and my husband tried having s*x last night and it kinda hurt when he was trying to go in and he said I felt very tight, why is that? I also started to bleed a tiny bit after he barely put himself in me.

I didn't tear, or have a c-section, or anything bad while delivering. I had stopped bleeding 2 day's before we did this last night.

  1. Doctors recommend you wait at least 6 weeks before having s*x again.  Even though you didn't tear, you'll still have tiny little surface "tears" (kinda like a bad carpet burn) from the excessive stretching during delivery and this takes a while to heal.  That's why it hurt you even though you didn't have any tears. Also, stopping bleeding doesn't mean your body is ready to have s*x again.  It's best to follow the dr's advice and wait 6 weeks.

  2. Wait a little longer and use extra lubrication for the first few times.

  3. 3 weeks is too early, you probably had some small  tears or internal tearing. you should wait at least six weeks. it hurt like a B^TCH having a gyno exam more than 2 months after delivering, a natural vaginal birth, i cant imagine trying to have s*x in 3 weeks!

  4. Its natural to need a little extra lubrication after childbirth - try using a lubricant next time and I think its fine to continue as long as you're not in pain.

  5. You really should wait the 6 weeks..and you will feel that way for awhile after having a baby..my husband still complains and I am 7mos pp..

  6. all docs say wait 6 weeks.....what kind of doc do you have. you shouldn't put anything in their till your 6 week check up.

give your husband a bottle of lotion and send him in the bathroom if he needs to release
