Question:

Having some itching, help!?

I've been having extreme itching "down there" on and off for about a month. It causes it to be very red and sore. Some discharge, but nothing that smells. I can't go to the doctor (can't take time off work b/c I'm having knee surgery in a week). Could I try a yeast infection medication or could that make it worse? I've tried the vaginal itching cream and it burns b/c I have little open sores from the itching.

  1. That sounds like a yeast infection.Go to the store and buy a monostat one kit. That should do the trick in a couple of days, but if it doesn't then you really need to go to the doctor.

  2. its probably a sever yeast infestion just go buy some vagisil =]

  3. i am in the academy of health..and this sounds like a std or something most likely gonorrhea or something similar..you should definitely get to the doctor because if it has been going so long without treatment it may result in pelvic inflammatory infection which is not very good for you

  4. maybe its crabs.

  5. I would suggest that you use a yeast infection cream.  Monistat makes various kinds (3-7 day treatments).  A yeast infection treatment is a soothing cream that helps quickly to ease the discomfort.  If you have sores from the itching, I would also suggest soaking in a bathtub with some epsom salts.  I think that you have to have a scrip for something called - lidocaine jelly, but if you have some or can get some, it is a numbing agent that will help to heal the sores quickly and stop the burn and itch.  Being a woman is so much fun, right?

  6. To me it sounds like you have a yeast infection.  Go get some Monistat 3.  Just remember it will take 7 days for it to fully go away but you should be done itching by the 3rd day.  If not you can try it again but if the 2nd box doesn't work then you'll have to go to the doctor.
