  1. I use dill pickle relish along with Miracle Whip, so you get that sharp taste, but the sweetness of the mayo evens it out.

  2. You can use a very small amount of dry mustard powder along with some mayo, paprika, salt, white pepper, and maybe some tarragon. If you want to sweeten it, you can use some coriander.

  3. Oh wow, lots of mayo, maybe mustard powder...lol

  4. how about if you make some devilled eggs for the other guests, and then make a few eggs, that are just cut in half, and sprinkled with paprika-then she could have hers, and everybody else have theirs. would that work? i have no ideas for devilled eggs without the mustard- they need that kick.

  5. I am famous for my deviled eggs!  I am asked to bring them to every party.  I myself am extremely picky.  I have a phobia with Miracle Whip (Ewww) and I cant stand when people add relish, or mustard.  To me the mustard is too tangy.  I do it this way and people always get really exited when they know I am bringing them to an event.

    This is all I do...

Once you have your yolks seperated add Helmans Light until you get to the consistancy of your preferance...start small.

Add chopped fresh chives to your batter to taste!  I cut them with shears,

After filling sprinkle Paprika on top!

Thats it!  Guaranteed they will be gone real quick!

  6. WHAT ??? If you find out, let me know. You might try a different style of mustard than yellow, like deli mustard and drop in some hot sauce like "pico pica". At least you will have more for yourself if she doesn't eat any.

Pick up some "liverwurst or braunswauger" and mix it with mayo and put that in the egg case, that might work for you

    No mustard ? Unbelievable.

  7. she wont even know theres mustard in there...just get all the yolk...put a bunch of maynaise in it and a tad of mustard...she wont even know...my trick i use is i put all the yolks in a bug ziplock bag and mush it all together with the maynaise and lil mustard and then cut the one of the corners off and put it in the egg like frosting....its soo much easier!

    Good Luck!

  8. iput mayo and a little relish and put paprika on the top for good pressence

  9. Use crab meat instead. Actually I don't put mustard in my deviled eggs at all.

  10. I made deviled eggs just this weekend.......... you take the yolks....... break them and  stir them well  , add mayo, I use some of the pickle juice and either sweet or dill pickles...........finely chopped....... salt and pepper to taste, put that mixture into the eggs.......... and they are yummmmmm..... the yolk mixture should be thick, not runny or thin.

Dust with paprika and you'll be a hit

  11. A little hot sauce or horseradish may be used inplace of the mustard.

I use a small food processer to chop my eggs, also a very little eonion placed in the food processor whe your done with the eggs.Add mayo and a little sour cream or cream cheese, salt, white pepper and dillweed,

a couple drops of hot sauce. Not to make spicey hot, just a little to add flavor.

You may add a little chopped bacon and some people add a little horseradish.Sometimes I do use the bacon.Sometimes with the above mixture I may add a little white wine.Depends what type of people I am serving.

Garnish the tops with paprika or a little piece of fresh parsley.

I can't believe the people that suggested using mustard when you asked then not to as you are not using it!

Hope my suggestions have helped ....

  12. I googled deviled egg recipe's and got a few different variations. Try these:

    6 hard cooked eggs

    1 tbsp. fresh parsley

    1 tbsp. scallions, minced

    1 small jalapeno pepper

    1/4 cup Miracle Whip

    1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    1/2 teaspoon cilantro (optional)

    pinch cayenne pepper

    pinch chili powder

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon paprika

    1/2 teaspoon horseradish, grated

    1/4 teaspoon celery seed

    --------------------------------------...

1 dozen eggs, hard cooked and peeled

1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained, squeezed dry.

    1/4 cup mayo

    1/4 cup bacon bits

    2 1/2 tbsp cider vinegar

    1 tbsp sugar

    2 tsp black pepper

    1/4 tsp salt

Cut eggs in half lengthwise, scoop out yolk and mash with a fork. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spoon yolk mixture into egg halves. Chill until ready to serve (should chill 2 hours to overnight to let the flavors blend.)

    --------------------------------------...

    MEXICAN DEVILED EGGS

    4 hard cooked eggs

1/4 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

    2 tbsp. mayonnaise

2 tbsp. salsa (med. hot to hot)

    1 tbsp. chopped green onion

    1 1/2 tsp. sour cream

1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Slice eggs in half lengthwise. Transfer yolks to medium bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly with a fork. Mound mixture into whites and refrigerate before serving. Makes 8 hors d'oeuvres.

    --------------------------------------... DIP DEVILED EGGS

    1 env. onion soup mix

    1 pt. sour cream

    1/4 c. chopped celery

    1/2 tsp. lemon juice

    8 hard cooked eggs

Blend soup with sour cream. Cut eggs lengthwise. Add celery, lemon juice and sour cream mixture to egg yolks. Blend well. Fill egg whites and chill.

    ***These sound the most interesting.

  13. Mix the egg yolks with mayonnaise, pickle relish and salt and pepper.

Or mix yolks, mayonnaise, capers and dill.

Or mix yolks, mayonnaise, chives and parsley flakes. (fresh if possible)

Or mix yolks, mayonnaise, and black olives.

Or mix yolks, mayonnaise, diced green chilies (I use the canned ones)

Or mix yolks, mayonnaise and celery seed.

Or mix  yolks with sour cream instead of mayonnaise.

    Good luck!

  14. I'd try mayo and dill relish.

  15. Use mayo and a little sugar....but the amount of mustard used is very little so do you think she will really know?  Maybe you can make a few without mustard and the rest as you normally would.......most people like them done right and can tell what's in it or not.  I hear bacon bits put it over the edge.....try it out.  Good Luck.

  16. anchovie paste is a good option. you need the kick.

  17. Instead of mustard, use cumin powder. Cumin powder isnt as strong as mustard and is a good substitute BUT USE SPARINGLY!

OR you could also use a little nutmeg and cinnamon powder as a substitute and call them

    Morroccan devilled eggs!

  18. Miracle whip or mayo and sweet relish.Maybe a dash of black pepper and sprinkle the top with paprika. Every body finds these tasty.

  19. Replace half the mayo with nonfat plain yogurt. Trust me the tang that it will give your deviled eggs will have people begging you for the recipe. Great substitute for people who don't like mustard and also lightens up the dish without taking away flavor.

  20. i'd make something else.  i can't imagine anything else in deviled eggs.  it'd be blasphemous to change it.  lol.
