Question:

Having trouble understanding what he is trying to say?

After thinking carefully as how I should approach my fiance' regarding a comment he made, which was-" I need to help you get back into working out". I asked him." Why did you say I need to help you get back into working out"? He said "because you looked better, and you had more confidence, in the way you walked and ur personality". I have not gained weight since I stopped working out, but honestly my tone and form has decreased. Is this a two way perk? does what benefit me really increase his interest in me to a degree? Any interpretations of this are more than welcome. He has never been one to put things in, for the lack of a better word- in plain english.

  1. Tell him, "What you see is what you get. Deal with it."

  2. He should love you for who you are, but if you look better he will like it and you will like yourself better. Sounds like a win-win to me!

  3. Well, hubby should love you either way...but is nice he appreciated your more toned body, it'll be good for you too to get it back.

You know, it's like someone loves a hot fudge ice cream sundae everyday at the diner, than the waitress starts serving it with the fudge cold. You still like it, but that fudge was just so awesome. Can you blame him totally>

Good thing he communicates and isn't like some immature, selfish young man who can't be open to his love and goes searching elsewhere for the hotness.

What he's saying is that...you're his hotness...he doesn't want to go anywhere else for the hotness, though you serve the same sundae now with cold fudge...he's just making a request, that's all, honor it, for better or worse

  4. Does it matter? What's wrong with looking better and having more confidence? Not to mention being healthy. Don't over-analyze -just go work out!
