I was leaving my house and had been driving for about five minutes when my ac just shuts off completely. Do you think it could be just a fuse that blew? When i try to turn it on my car makes this noise as if it does turn on but no air comes out. If anyone has an idea of what it could be please let me know and what kind of pricing im looking at to get it repaired. I was thinking of taking it to my honda dealership but i know they will tell me thats its something coslty when it really isn't.

  1. Its most likely an electrical problem... But there is a chance that it can even be your battery.. I know that sounds silly but it happened to me. The battery had dead cells and the car was shifting power to parts of the car that needed it. Other things happened like the speedometer went berserk too. I also drive an Accord.

  2. Take to repair shop. It sounds like it could just be low on freon

  3. Are you saying that it is not blowing cold, or it is not blowing at all?  If it is not blowing at all, you may have a blown fuse, or a bad blower motor.

If it is not blowing cold, it is a problem with the A/C system.  That could be a number of things.  Anything from low refrigerant, to bad switches (high or low pressure), to a bad compressor, a clogged reciever dryer, or even a leaking condenser.

So take it to a repair shop other than your dealership.  And get several estimates before you commit to any one shop.
