Having trouble with my window on my lincoln ?

I have 1997 lincoln town car. im having trouble with the driver side rear window falling down into the door. i can hear the motor still trying to roll the window up, but its like the cable came off of it or something. Can anyone tell me how to fix it or point me in the right direction. maybe a web site that has step by step instructions. that would be really cool. k thanks to who ever can help me. jjh

You,ll have to relace the window regulator.Cable is either broken or off its track.

I would suspect the cable is broken.

Napa and  most parts places sell them for about 100 US dollars.

The Auto Zone site should have a manual on line. They might also provide a printed copy it you buy the part there.

I buy my replacement parts like this off e-bay at about 1/3 the price (but I haven't bought one for a towncar).

the window came off the regulator it is a track that it rides on.
