Having trouble with number patterns?

It's math homework, of course, and I'm really not much of one who easily figures out patterns in a sequence. However, it's only the second day of school and I really want to make a good impression on my teacher. (As a plus, does anyone have any tips that might help me improve on this skill?)

The ones I'm having trouble with are:

1) 1200, 6, 200, 5, 40, ___, ___

2) 2, 4, 5, 10, 11, 22, ___, ___

3) 12, 2, 6, 14, 2, 7, 16, ___, ___

4) 32, 4, 26, 10, 20, 16, ___, ___

5) 56, 8, 7, 30, 6, 5, 12, 4, ___, ___

6) 17, 14, 11, 8, 5, ___, ___

  1. 1. 4, 10

    2. 23, 46

    3. 2,8

    4. 14, 22

    5. 3, 2

    6. 2, -1

  2. The first one is 4,10 !The second one is 44,88!That's as far as I will go sorry but it is your homework!

  3. Ok all you have to do is look very closely at the pattern. Like # 3...

    3) 12, 2, 6, 14, 2, 7, 16, the next would be 2 and then 8 and then 18 then 2 and then 9. See the pattern? look at it closely. It starts counting by twos but then in between them is the # that makes half of them and of course the 2. 6 is half of 12. So if you wanted to go on after 18 it would go like this...20, 2, 10, 22, 2, 11, 24, 2, 12, 26, 2, 13. See? I'm sure if you think hard enough and look hard enough you can get them all right in a jiffy. Remember don't stress out. Always be positive it confident. Good luck with you # patterns. ( :

  4. 1) 120 / 6 = 200, 200 / 5 = 40, 40 / 4 = 10

The next numbers are 4, 10

    2) 2*2 = 4, 4+1 =5, 5*2 = 10, 10+1 = 11, 11*2 = 22, 22+1 = 23,

    23 * 2 = 46

The next numbers are 23, 46

    3) 12/2 = 6, 14/2 = 7, 16 / 2 = 8

    The next numbers are 2,8

    4) 32 -6 = 26, 4 + 6 = 10, 26 - 6 = 20, 10 + 6 = 16, 20 - 6 = 14,

    16 + 6 = 22

The next numbers are 14, 22

    5) 56 / 8 = 7, 30 / 6 = 5, 12 / 4 = 3, 2 / 2 = 1

The next numbers are 3, 2

    6) 17 - 3 = 14, 14 - 3 = 11, 11 - 3 = 8, 8 - 3 = 5, 5 - 3 = 2, 2 - 3 = -1

The next numbers are 2, -1

  5. 1. 4, 10

    2. 23, 46

    3.

    4. 14, 22

    5. 3,

    6. 13, 10
