Okay, so we just found out today that my cousin has two sets of reproductive organs. As in 2 uterus', 2 cervix's, 4 fallopian tubes and 4 ovaries. Does anyone know how that can happen?

Please help because we are all lost on what happened. Thank you.

  1. I actually work with a girl that has that. She was carrying 2 different guys babies and that same time, but one miscarried and the other was born. But the babies were like 2 months apart lol .. Its kinda cool! so she can have 2 kids at once without having the same DNA

  2. are they both functioning? i wonder if she would have 2 periods at once, that would suck!

  3. just a birth defect like a twin. I think that is amazing really. she can have twins that are not twins :) on different dates.

  4. ive never ever heard of that happeningg before

  5. nothing is for sure.... genetics are tricky hence seamese twins or children born with extra limbs.... its mother natures mistake... which happens quite more often then most people think.

The most important part of your familys' ordeal is not making her feel segregated and finding the best treatment (surgical) possible if needed.   Be concious of her feelings and if she is still a baby.. look for signs of discomfort.

    Good Luck

  6. An ex-girlfriend of mine had this "problem" when I was a teenager. She had surgery after puberty to close one uterus and had 2 tubes removed. The doctor said there was no harm in this condition except for the fact that she was very succepable for producing twins in the event she became pregnant. The only harm here being if as she went into labor with one, the contractions could cause the other to also go into labor. So with only one v****a and two babies trying to occupy that space to exit, well, you can imagine what trouble that may cause.

  7. So...does that mean she can possibly have twins who are only half-related??

    Whoa, that's trippy.

I would assume it's some sort of mutation...like the cells reproduced one too many times or something.

  8. wow, i never knew that could happen.

  9. VERY INTERESTING! Never heard of that. Maybe doctors are stumped just like you are.

  10. Well, why don't you ask the doctor that told you this?

Also, check into if she could donate organs

  11. It's an undeveloped twin issue.  She'll need to have 2 paps at each gyn visit.  One for the left os and one for the right os.  Some women will also have an extra set of nipples under their developed b*****s.

  12. WOW!!!

I can't answer that question.  It does remind me of a story I read about a girl who had to vajayjays.

  13. Well maybe a twin should have develop, but didn't. That could explain why she has another set of orgrans.

  14. just a birth defect my cousins wife has this too.  she can be pregnate with two babies that dont have to be twins.

  15. That is strange and rare. Maybe she had a twin in the very beginning of her mom's pregnancy? There is a medical term for that when one baby accumulates their twin's other organs and/or body parts and the other undeveloped baby somehow "goes away".

  16. YES, it is happening sometimes and it should not be a problem. It is congenital. Doctors will check if all organs are in normal sizes and if functions are normal. Discover more about women anatomy in

  17. 2?

  18. It probably didn't grow inside her, maybe she was born with it. Maybe she was going to be a twin or maybe her cells just weren't write..? Sry, idk. I'm not a doctor.

  19. boy... sounds like someone was smoking crack during pregnancy - just kidding. It's possible that there was some kind of genetic mutation that happened (probably during pregnancy). Other than that... i can't think of any other reasons why she would have two sets of reproductive organs.

  20. I'm trying to look it up on-line but nothing shows up about the topic. I'm sorry this is happening to you all. I wish you the best luck ever. And i'll be praying for your cousin.
