Having weird eye pain?

Last night, all of a sudden, I had a pain in my right eye. It started out in the bottom outer corner and now it's the whole right side of my eye that hurts. It feels like a bruise when I rub my eyes(which I do a lot). Is it possible to bruise your eyeball? And what can be done for the pain? It hurts to blink. I know I should see an eye doctor but I have no insurance so this is the best I can do. I checked webmd also and no luck there. Thanks for any help.

See an ophthalmologist. You can't afford to lose your eyesight.
